Action pack week 4

Monday

Today we were learning how to count to  10 in te-reo.  We also learnt how to give an item to another person using te-reo.

Tuesday 

Children were learning to have an identifying statement in their explanation writing.  We were explaining how to make a chocolate cake.

Wednesday 

Today we had special guest in talking about their role in our community.   The topic for this term in Pride in ME community.

- Police
- Ambulance
- Firefighter
- Librarian 

Thursday 

Whole school assembly this week.  Our PRIDE and DUFFY winners are-

Friday

Today we had a special guest in our classroom for the day.   We had my very own daughter in the Funky Monkeys. Roslyn grilled her with 5 important questions to help with her oral language skills.

Funky Monkeys Week 3

We had a very action pack week.

- Three way conference

We had an 80% attendence rate, which is good.  However, after talking to parents it seems we will be at 100% by Tuesday 5:30.  

- Science week

We were learning about the soil.   The children went outside and explored in the dirt.   It was so much fun.  Now they're writing and explaining their inquiry question.   This will be shown in week 4 blog.

This terms topic is about PRIDE IN MY COMMUNITY.   The first point of learning was to know what is a community? These children came up with a pop out video to show it enjoy.....
