Week 8's Funkest Monkey




Janaiah is our  funkest monkey for this week.   She has really shown her PRIDE in her learning and around the Rowandale community.

Pigs and Chickens.


This week our children were on pigs and chicken duty.  We were in charge of collecting the eggs and cleaning their area.  

At the end of the week we were allow to use the eggs to cook something for the children.   Not only did we use the eggs we raided our lovely garden.

Pulling the plants out from the roots.   Then taking the leaves off.

Parent expert


I would like to thank Moana for coming into room 15 and helping us learn the Tongan language.

She taught the children how to introduce themselves, how to ask how you are? and a response the the question...

Pigs and chicken

This week room 15 is on pigs and chicken duty.   Thursday we are going to be using the chicken eggs to cook something for the children.

Isis-  I am in charge of the keys to get in and out of the chickens and pig pen.
Evangeline-  I feed the pigs from the scap bucket
Chanelle-  I feed the chicken with my hand.  I give them chicken food
Trevor-  I feed the pigs scraps of fruit
Ryan-  I give pigs water, I also look in the chicken area for eggs.

Inquiry progress

Yesterday the children went outside and explored the different types of bats to help generate questions and research towards our terms big question.

What is the difference between a baseball bat from the 1950's to now?  

The question was suggested as be investigated the different sports Spain was participating in the olympics.

Our most Funkist Monkey



Te Awe is next week's funkiest monkey.   This is a reward for all her hard work in the classroom learning areas.   She has also complete the set homework this week. All her maths, spelling and reading.   Te Awe has also displayed her PRIDE in the classroom and playground.  


Well done Te Awe for being the Funkist Monkey!!!
